This is my first post to this wonderful site. Hopefully every thing will work correctly.
The transkit that I am providing information on was one that I recently won on E-Bay US about a month ago. I do now know much of the history of this kit but have told that it was available both with and without wire wheels. The kit that I purchase did not have the wire wheels.
Here are pictures of the instruction sheets. It is actually a single sheet printed on both sides
This picture is all of the components that make up the kit.
This picture is a close up of the cast white metal parts. I have tried a test fit of these parts and not only do they fit will they add some very nice detail. My hope is to actually make molds of these parts and cast them in resin since I have several cars that I would like to use them on and only have this one kit.
This picture is a close-up of the window frames. They are made of brass u-channel that has been chromed plated. They are designed to hold two plastic windows that can actually slide.
This last picture is a close-up of the head lights and driving lights and offer significant improvement over the Bburago parts
If anybody has additional information about this transkit I would appreciate knowing about it.
Best regards,
Larry
Special thanks to La Loutre for helping me be able to publish here. |

I have been following your work on the 250 GTO s/c 5111GT Tour de France '63 with great interest. I appreciate the your sharing of techniques and implementation. In fact it is what made me decide to do one for myself.

Welcome !!!
You've purchased a very beautiful Transkit, How Lucky you are !!!
Can you tell us more informations about this kit ?
How much did you paid it for example ?
You'll find lot of threads about Die cast GTO modifications... With a such a good kit you MUST correct the mistakes made by Bburago on their car _________________ www.rosso18.com |

Thank you for your welcome. The reason that I post in English is that I can not speak any French. If I have questions about what is being posted, I ask my wife to help me. She is a French teacher.

Thank you for wour welcome.
I actually know very little about the kit other then it was made by Vincenzo Bosica who is noted for making 1/43 scale metal kits and hand lased wire wheel.
I paid $62.00 or about 52 Euros and it was sold by a man from Plano Texas named Dennis Koleber. He is a master model builder and here is a link to his website - http://www.denniskoleber.com/

Hello and thank you for your welcome.
I agree it is an excellent transkit. I am planning to use it for a specific Ferrari 250 GTO that I want to build. But I also know it will take me some time so I can develop my skills to the same standards as this transkit.
Best regards,
Larry |

Thank you for the welcome and the kind words about the transkit.
I just received an email from a person in California who saw that I had won this transkit and has offered to sell me the wheels that were also available for it. Here are the pictures he sent.
They are hand laced and use the original tires made by Bburago.
I have not decided whether to buy them yet, as they are very expensive, 130.00 Euros .
Best regards,
Larry |
